Notice on HP Series Software Version Update and Product Support

This announcement outlines the key enhancements included in Version 3.3, along with important information regarding product support and recommended next steps for customers with existing HP Series devices.

1. Latest Software Release

Software Version 3.3 is now the officially recommended and supported version for HP Series terminals, delivering upgrades across three key areas:

Security

• Enhanced access protection through key authentication in conventional mode
• Double-layer encryption of terminal key data in storage
• CRC verification to safeguard license storage
• Improved accuracy in detecting non-original batteries
• Full compliance with EU cybersecurity certification standards (ENIEC)

Functionality

• XPT multi-site capacity nearly doubled, now supporting up to 30 sites (previously 16)
• New dispatch functionality on handheld terminals, with third-party application development support via Uart and Bluetooth API
• Channel alias display now available on HP60X and HP70X terminals
• Optional MPT trunking support for HP7 and HM7 terminals
• Remote upgrade capability introduced for repeaters

Performance

• Faster terminal boot times
• Improved stability of the HM7 remote control head, now also capable of upgrading the host device
• More accurate voltage detection on repeaters

Terminals manufactured from December 2025 onward will ship with Version 3.3 or later pre-installed. Going forward, all future security and feature updates will be developed exclusively for devices running Version 3.3 or above. Customers on earlier software versions are encouraged to upgrade at their earliest convenience to continue receiving updates.

To check your current software version: Navigate to Menu > Settings > Device Info > Radio Info > Firmware Version on the device itself, or check Radio Info > Firmware Version within the CPS (Customer Programming Software).

2. Product Support

Customers who purchase HP Series terminals through Hytera's officially authorized partners or distributors are entitled to comprehensive support, including official software upgrades, technical assistance, product warranty coverage, and after-sales service. To ensure the best possible experience and continued access to future enhancements, Hytera strongly encourages customers to purchase through authorized channels and to select devices already running Version 3.3 or later.

3. Recommended Action for Existing Terminals

Customers who purchased their HP Series terminal through an authorized Hytera partner or distributor and are currently running Version 3.2 or earlier are advised to contact their authorized partner, distributor, or local Hytera sales representative to arrange an upgrade. This will help ensure the device remains eligible for official support and continues to perform at its best.
